Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14th of 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. Biles was raised in Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where she and her sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone became interested in gymnastics at age six during a day-care field trip to Bannon's Gymnastix where she was a regular for eleven years under the coaching of Aimee Boorman. Biles won a silver medal in vault and floor in the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships of the year 2010 prior to her first appearance at the top level of competition. Within less than two years she became the most dominant in her sport. Biles's consistent, exuberant nature and high degree of difficulty in her four events -- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise, and floor exercise -- set her apart.
