Toni Collette hails from Australia she made her name known through Muriel's Wedding. The mystery thriller The Sixth Sense brought her an even bigger spotlight. Toni Collette is a versatile performer who has appeared in a wide range of films, like The Hours. Japanese Story. About a Boy. Little Miss Sunshine. The Way. Way Back. Knives Out. Television has praised her work for what she did in United States of Tara as in Wanderlust in addition to Unbelievable. Television and films aside, Toni Collette has also worked on stage productions including Uncle Vanya and King Lear. In 2000 she had her Broadway debut with The Wild Party. Her performances across stages, TV and films has earned her numerous prizes, such as five AACTA Awards and one each of Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award. Toni Collette has served as executive producer on a handful of her movies Hereditary, as well as the television show United States of Tara. A vocalist, Toni Collette sang for the Broadway musical The Wild Party and her Broadway film Cosi. In 2006, Toni Colette started her own band and released her debut album Beautiful Awkward. She also founded her own production company.
Her hometown, Falls Church, is the place she's lived for most of her adult life. While she was a little girl, her love of performing arts began while she was studying at the Washington School of Ballet. She initially had great success when it came to dancing, performing in many school plays. At her senior year, she participated in every school musical and that's when she began to transition from dancing into acting. In fact, she was awarded her Equity Card when she was in the Summer Stock show of Aida. She was a student at Carnegie Mellon University, where she took classes in Drama. After two years of study she decided to drop out and focus on her work acting. Life as a family Louisa raised in a family of four. She was the daughter of Lida Jeanne Wright, was American and her father Robert 'Bob' Henry Krause was of half-Japanese origin. Nathaniel Krause is her brother and is employed in the field of film as a director. When she is not working, she enjoys spending it with her family, whether it's a trip to the forest or barbecuing. Her family is extremely close to her younger brother. In fact, so close that she's even offered his a home near to her house to allow the two of them to get together more frequently. Louisa Krause Carrier In the beginning, she did not do it for cash. It was for the sake of appearing before serious movie producers. This proved successful. In a Dark Dark House, Les Liaisons Dangereuses and other Off-Broadway productions were among the first productions she starred. Then, in the latter part of 2007 she started her film acting career as a supporting actress in Babysitter as well as The Speed of Life. After a 2 year break of acting she appeared as a character in Taking Woodstock and Toe to Toe. Then over the following two years focused on short film. Her cinematic work is another of her abilities. The Girlfriend Experience nominated her for an Golden Globe nomination as Anna Garner.
